Everyone can take part and together with soil scientists, teachers, families and farmers, build confidence and understanding of why healthy soil is vital to all our lives and find out how we can all help to protect our precious soil.
We've got some free fantastic resources to help you on your soil journey!
1) It’s part of something bigger: Plant your Pants is a nationwide campaign, and for the first time it brings together families, teachers, farmers and soil scientists from all over the UK to ensure everyone understands why mud matters and the role each of us can play to protect our precious soils.
2) Plant Your Pants is for everyone: Planters, parks, football pitches, gardens and fields - where there's soil there's potential space to plant pants!
3) Our lives depend on soil: It produces 95% of our food, creates new medicines and we build from it, yet we know so little about soil. Our resources will support you step-by-step to discover the secrets of soil.
4) The resources are amazing: Co-designed with teachers, scientists and children, the resources have been carefully developed so everyone can get the most out of the activities and make sure they’re easy to use at home and at school.
5) Did we mention that it’s free?: Bonus. All resources will be free and available online. If your school has a FSM% (Ever 6) percentage of higher than 25.5% we will post you the pack of printed resources!
Resources will be available to download from February 2023.
Register today to take part and have access to six specially-designed soil activities, accompanying videos and worksheets to support your soil journey.
